| Title: |
Model parameters for background AEPs |
| Research Area(s): |
Brain Modeling |
| Background: |
Auditory evoked potentials (AEPs) are derived from EEG data and are the brain's response to simple auditory stimuli. We investigate these phenomena using a physiology-based corticothalamic model of the brain. |
| Aims: |
Our aim is to compare background AEP parameters to resting-state EEG parameters; differences should tell us information about how networks in the brain handle information processing. |
| Method: |
Data from normal subjects is obtained and fitted to the Robinson et al. model using a Monte Carlo method. Resulting fits are filtered to produce unimodal distributions, and the parameters are derived from these distributions. |
