Title: Individual Differences During Emotional Processing: A Neuro-Genetic Investigation

Background: The overall goal of this study is to investigate the effect of individual differences (e.g., trait anxiety, sex, 5-HTTLPR polymorphisms) on the following measures: 1. the structural integrity (i.e., structural MRI and DTI) and connectivity patterns (i.e., functional and effective) of the prefrontal-limbic network (e.g., prefrontal, cingulate, amygdala, hippocampal) 2. the neurophysiological components (ERP) during processing of emotional faces. Differences in these measures associated with individual differences, such as trait anxiety and/or genetic markers may serve as an endophenotype for the risk for anxiety disorders.

Method:
